Why Does A Structure Need Strengthening?

A structure that was perfectly adequate when built can fall short of what's being asked of it now. The reason matters — it determines what strengthening is actually required.

We install structural strengthening systems, including carbon fibre, to an engineer's specification. RemedialCore does not provide structural engineering design — where a design isn't already in place, we coordinate with the client's structural engineer or can recommend one.
Engineering & design requirements
Every job starts with a design or specification from a qualified structural engineer — the client's engineer of record, or one we coordinate with. We install to that specification.
Substrate assessment
The existing concrete is assessed for soundness, moisture and surface condition to confirm it can achieve a proper bond.
Preparation
The surface is prepared to the specified profile — typically by grinding or grit-blasting — and any defects are repaired first.
System installation
The carbon fibre system is installed strictly to the engineer's design and the manufacturer's application requirements.
QA & documentation
Installation is recorded and checked against the specification, including bond testing where required.
